Court of Honor Ritual
Here is a piece of their advertising from 1915
The 1915 City Directory states that the Court of Honor was at East Adams, on the South East corner of Second and Adams.
The Historic West Side is FULL of history and wonderful architecture including my favorite house style - the bungalow. This blog will highlight the gorgeous bungalows that can be found in the West Side Historic neighborhood. I would also like to report on interesting house styles throughout Springfield and the history they represent. If you would like me to feature some house or interesting historic place that you've found, send me an email and we'll arrange it! Please check our older posts too!

You didn't say where the building shown in the advertising photo was located...?
I looked it up in the City Directory for 1915 and there is no street number but the address is listed as
East Adams -- the South East corner of Second and Adams.
Thank you so much for your question. I was curious too and just need a little prodding to look it up!
I like how your blog is dedicated to the history behind Springfield, IL. I find it fascinating too to discover more about where we come from. I'm currently seeking out Plainfield IL homes for sale and I can't wait to move out there. Plainfield seems to be another great city in IL where the culture and history is rich too.
